The success of the Magnificent Jewels Auction held by Christie’s in Geneva this month clearly demonstrates the timeless allure of fine gemstones, from the most modern of settings to Belle Époque and Art Déco creations. A highlight of the auction was a sensational deep blue diamond and diamond ring of 7.03 carats mounted by Moussaieff, which achieved a sale price of CHF 11,625,000, over £9 million.
The auction was held as part of Christie’s November Luxury Week, hosted at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues in Geneva. Luxury Week has seen Christie’s bring the world’s finest watches, wines and jewels across five auctions.
