LAF: Edit

London Art Fair returns for its 33rd edition in January and although visitors won’t be able to visit the 50 leading galleries presented at the Fair in person, they will be able to discover and buy works by renowned artists from the 20th century to today via a new digital platform.

Taking place between 20 and 31 January (VIP Preview 18-19 January), London Art Fair: Edit promises an unmissable opening to the 2021 art calendar. Through online Viewing Rooms featuring audio and written commentaries provided by the galleries, visitors can browse and enquire. Galleries taking part include Jill George Gallery, Jenna Burlingham, Osborne Samuel, Eve Leibe, Bavan Gallery and more.

New for 2021 is LAF Selects, which asks invited experts, collectors and prominent friends of the Fair to present their own personal highlights from the Viewing Rooms.

The Fair’s ever popular programme of Talks and Workshops has been moved online, too. Panel discussions and conversations with artists, curators and leading experts will provide further insight to the work on show and will consider emerging trends and topics.

And the theme for this year’s Platform – LAF’s curated section presenting well-known, overlooked and emerging artists – is Folk Art. Curator Candida Stevens explores how artists working in the Folk tradition have chosen to pass on cultural heritage and how they provide inspiration. Galleries participating in Platform at LAF include Candida Stevens Gallery, Cavaliero Finn, Jaggedart and Ruup & Form.

Continuing LAF’s role in nurturing collecting at all levels, LAF Editions will provide visitors with a unique opportunity to purchase limited edition prints exclusively through London Art Fair website.
