Corporate Partner

Smith Greenfield is delighted to announce a new Corporate Partnership with Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village.  This beautiful museum, which is located in the Surrey Hills designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, celebrates the life and work of the great Victorian artist, George Frederic Watts OM RA (1817-1904), and his wife, the artist and designer Mary Watts (1849-1938).

Created during the artists’ lifetime, the Artists’ Village includes the artists’ house and studios, an exquisite Chapel and Watts Gallery, which displays paintings and sculpture by G F Watts. The museum offers visitors a wonderful day out.

Smith Greenfield has partnered with Watts Gallery Trust – the charity responsible for maintaining the Artists’ Village – to offer the Friends, Patrons and members of Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village access to its expert insurance services.  And, through a special arrangement, when Friends of the Gallery take out or renew a policy through Smith Greenfield the charity will receive a donation.

These funds are vitally important at the current time.  On 19 March, Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village had to temporarily close its doors in response to Government guidance on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.  The loss of income resulting from this closure is anticipated to be at least £300, 000, and the charity has launched a fundraising appeal to seek support.

Commenting, Steve Smith, Managing Director of Smith Greenfield, said: “Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village is a wonderful museum, with exquisite Arts & Crafts buildings and an internationally important collection.  As a Surrey-based business, we are really pleased to be making our expertise available to the Friends and members of Watts Gallery, at the same time helping the charity to raise vital funds.”

Friends, Patrons and members of Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village enjoy unlimited admission to the Artists’ Village, First Views of special exhibitions, exclusive events, tours and visits and a host of other benefits.  Find out more by visiting www.wattsgallery.org.uk.
