Classic Cars

This year’s London Classic Car Show (25-27 June), taking place at historic Syon Park, will be celebrating the 60th birthday of the world famous Jaguar E-Type sportscar alongside a dazzling display of hundreds of the world’s finest cars from yesteryear.

Classic car owners, collectors, connoisseurs and enthusiasts will be treated to the evocative sights and sounds of their favourite automotive icons in heart-stirring live action.  Selected exhibits from the show’s central ‘Evolution of Design’ feature will be revving up for special parades on Syon Park’s impressive Lime Avenue in West London.

60 years of E-Type

The capital’s prestigious car show is marking the E-Type’s 60th milestone by featuring an incredible timeline of glorious E-types, starring Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3 models, highlighting both equally beautiful fixed head coupe and convertible roadster variants.

The dazzling display will be topped by two absolute E-type legends – celebrated cars that are so revered by the cognoscenti that they are known just by their hallowed number plates: ECD 400 and 49 FXN.

“We are truly honoured to have two such extraordinary E-types as our ‘hero’ cars at The London Classic Car Show,” said Mark Woolley, Show Director. “The E-type is one of the world’s most-loved sportscars and we are delighted to be hailing its 60th birthday with such an incredible display. Everyone adores the E-type and this is going to be a massive crowd-pleaser which absolutely no one should miss.”

Working closely with the Jaguar Drivers’ Club, the Syon Park showcase will provide visitors with a full history of the E-type ranging from early ‘flat floor’ 3.8-litre engine paragons right up to 1975 when the Coventry production lines were finally switched off. Doubling the festivities, the final V12-powered Series 3 was introduced in 1971 and thus celebrates its own 50th this year.

The London Classic Car Show has been running since 2015 and is now firmly established as the capital city’s premier showcase for discerning classic car owners, collectors, experts and enthusiasts. The annual event is an international celebration of the finest classic road and race cars across the UK and Europe, bringing together the very best dealers, manufacturers, restorers and car clubs.
