This week, Hampshire has welcomed back the Southampton International Boat Show for 2021. One of Europe’s largest on-water events with hundreds of exhibitor stands and over 500 craft on display, it is an expansive forum for serious boat buyers and water sports enthusiasts alike. Visitors can seek expert advice, see, touch and feel new vessels and water sports equipment as well as find opportunities to get on the water.
New in the Marina
Visitors can view a wide variety of marine brands on land and in Europe’s largest purpose-built marina. The marina berths showcase some the world’s most prestigious luxury yachts, sailing and power boats, as well as high-end tender and chase boats. Represented by Ancasta International Boat Sales, luxury power and sail brands Sanlorenzo, Beneteau Power and Lagoon Catamarans have all made debuts at the Show.
This year has also seen the UK debut of the new Sunseeker – 65 Sport Yacht, which joins the Show’s expanding range of next-generation yachts. With its sleek exterior profile of carbon fibre and polished stainless steel, the 65 Sport Yacht balances the traditional with hi-tech to place emotion and performance at its heart.
Those looking for a luxurious and fast tender, have the opportunity to view the magnificently styled and crafted E26 Classic, from renowned Italian master boatbuilder, Cranchi.
The E26 Classic offers a blend of beautiful lines and modern engineering from the bold stem of its distinctive teak-decked bow, to its rear sun deck and bathing platform. It features sumptuous seating and a wraparound screen to keep all aboard comfortable. A wide range of options exists to tailor the E26 Classic luxury launch to every buyer’s specification.
Water sports
The Show’s new Watersports Zone reflects the growing interest in water sports for both fitness and fun. Visitors can discover the latest water leisure products from stand-up paddle boards to inflatable kayaks, windsurfers, wakeboards and all the associated clothing kit and accessories.
For speed lovers, the marine hypercraft from Belassi – the Burrasca, has made its first UK appearance with Jet Ski UK. Belassi explains that Supercars push what is technically possible to the limit. It has applied this same uncompromising approach to create the Burrasca. With unparalleled performance, visionary design and handcrafted engineering prowess, the Burrasca is setting new standards in the world of Personal Water Craft (PWC).
