Christmas at Waddesdon Manor has long been a highlight of the festive season – and this year is no exception.
Inspired by the travels of Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild (1839-1898), who created Waddesdon Manor, for Christmas 2025 visitors to Waddesdon will be taken on a Grand Tour exploring the festive traditions that light up the winter season across Europe.
At each stop visitors will encounter a city Ferdinand visited and loved, from the canals of Delft to Lake Geneva via Venice and Paris. This Grand Tour blends travel with seasonal customs and makes links to Waddesdon’s famous art collection.
Outside, the beautiful façade and surrounding gardens will be bathed in a fully immersive light show, curated by celebrated lighting specialists Woodroffe Bassett Design. Featuring specially commissioned digital projections, lighting effects and sound all choreographed to wrap around you, visitors will walk through a world of light and sound on their very own Grand Tour,
